NX-1000 vs NX-3000 vs NX-5000: which one fits your job?

I get this question a lot at the shop. Rough guide: NX-1000 is the value line for basic digital (NXDN or DMR) users; NX-3000 adds a stronger feature set and the larger display models; NX-5000 is the multi-protocol flagship that can run P25, NXDN and DMR with the right options. Many advanced features on NX radios are licensed options that have to be enabled for that specific radio, so check what's activated before you plan a system around it.
